The Advanced EMT program builds on the EMT-Basic curriculum. Students will learn advanced patient assessment, advanced communication skills, and beginning advanced life-support interventions such as how to administer IV fluids and some medications used in specific emergency situations. Advanced EMT Technicians work for ambulance services licensed by the WI Division of Health as Advanced EMT Technician Services or in healthcare facilities. Enrollment is open for anyone who meets the admission requirements.
