Breonna Bleuel learned about marketing from some of the best in the world—Walt Disney World. While studying Graphic Communications at Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC), Breonna participated in the Disney College Program.
“It is very competitive process,” she said. “It is not very common for tech college students to get accepted.”
At Walt Disney World Breonna took classes in Creativity and Innovation and Disney Heritage. She met industry leaders and interacted with people from around the world. A highlight for her was “having the ability to create the magic for guests at the most magical place on earth and seeing the positive impact it had on their trip.”
After taking three years of graphic communication classes in high school, a teacher pointed Breonna toward MPTC.
“The class sizes are small, the teachers are knowledgeable and helpful,” Breonna said. “We had all the newest equipment and technology to work with.” She enjoyed taking classes at MPTC while saving money and getting a quality education.
At an MPTC portfolio night Breonna met a representative of The Dodge County Pionier, a small hometown weekly newspaper where she worked as pagination coordinator and reporter for a little over a year before taking a marketing position at NAStar Inc., a pressure adhesive company based in Middleton. As marketing coordinator for NAStar Breonna produces news releases and marketing materials, works at tradeshows, provides customer service and handles sales.
With hard work, talent, a technical degree and a little magic Breonna is on her way to a great career.
