Wisconsin's 16 technical colleges will share $28 million in Wisconsin Fast Forward grants to expand capacity in training programs for key industry sectors. The grants should benefit more than 4,900 workers seeking training for high-demand fields.
Madison College team takes gold at Skills USA competition

A team of Madison College students and recent graduates earned gold medals in Automated Technology. This category includes computer-aided drafting/design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and computer numerical controlled machining (CNC).
Ten unemployed or underemployed participants are receiving job readiness and soft skill training as well as technical training through a partnership of public and private entities including Blackhawk Technical College.
Gateway Tech campuses receive Blueprint for Prosperity grants

Gateway Technical College Racine and Kenosha campuses will receive grants from the Department of Workforce Development for programs to prepare high school students for the workforce or postsecondary education through training in high-demand fields.
Northcentral Technical College and the Erving Network sponsored a science, technology, engineering and math summer camp for students from seven middle schools culminating in a friendly competition at NTC.
